WELCOME REVEREND DR. BOB TO CSL BELLINGHAM!
REV. DR. BOB DEEN JOINS CSL BELLINGHAM AS INTERIM MINISTER IN JANUARY 2025
With decades of experience in ministry and ministerial education, Rev. Dr. Bob Deen has dedicated his life to serving others. He has a multifaceted background in religious education, pastoral counseling, and professional leadership. Ordained as a Religious Science Minister, he has served as President of Holmes Institute (2015-18) and Manager of Professional Education (2013-18) for Centers for Spiritual Living. His extensive experience ranges from pastoral psychotherapy and addiction treatment to training and consulting for businesses and organizations. With a commitment to spiritual growth and community development, Dr. Bob has also facilitated workshops and retreats on various topics related to personal and spiritual transformation.
Dr. Bob’s passion for education is evident in his role as Senior Minister at the Visalia Church of Religious Science, (2000-2003) the Greater Philadelphia Center for Spiritual Living (2003-2013), and Center for Spiritual Living Midtown Atlanta (2018-2023). In these positions, he taught curriculum, graduated students, and led ministerial programs. In 2022, Dr. Bob was given the Youth Champion Award by Centers for Spiritual Living for his twenty-plus years as a teen leader. His commitment to nurturing spiritual growth and empowering others to serve their communities makes him an invaluable asset to any organization.
Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL) has a process in place to follow when a minister retires and leaves a congregation. The CSL Bellingham Board of Trustees has been working through this process and has implemented a plan. Below is the timeline for the Ministerial Transition Plan.
Rev. Dr. Andrea Asebedo retired at the end of 2024 as CSL Bellingham’s Senior Minister. We bless Rev. Dr. Andrea and thank her for her 13 years of service. The Board of Trustees and other community leaders are collaborating with Rev. Dr. Bob Deen to begin the process of hiring a new Senior Minister.

A MESSAGE FROM RETIRING SENIOR MINISTER, REV. DR. ANDREA ASEBEDO
Dear Friends,
It has been such an honor and privilege to share community with you! I am deeply grateful and very impressed!
Why impressed? Because in the thirteen-plus years I have served here, we have built an amazing community of love, acceptance, sharing and support! The generosity of heart, mind and substance creates a vibrancy and joy that is often palpable. WE did this! All of us, in our own way, supporting each other and the whole community. Way to go, Everyone!
And now we come to the next great adventure. Can we continue to carry this joyful, vibrant, loving, supportive energy into our next expression as a Center? I think we can!
This next year will be a pivotal one for us. Your support, in all the ways you do, will help keep us strong and attract the perfect new minister! Thank you!
