Minister’s Message for February 2026

Theme: Embracing the Edge

Rev Abigail Schairer

Hello Beloved Community,

I’m excited to share this month’s theme as “Embracing the Edge.” Ernest Holmes told us that we are “Open at the Top” and to do that we must keep growing, and that means growing beyond the known, and the comfortable. Throughout February, the focus is on pushing the boundaries of our beliefs and comfort zones, individually and collectively.

In the first week, titled “Living on the Inner Edge,” the emphasis is on introspection, encouraging individuals to explore the edges of their personal beliefs and inner world. The second week, “Walking on the Edge of Life,” shifts the perspective outward, focusing on how individual evolution impacts the world. The third week, “The Edge of the Known,” returns to introspection but on a collective level, inviting our community to delve into our shared beliefs. Finally, the fourth week, “On the Edge of the Possible,” looks outward again, focusing on collective action and the evolution of communities and societies. Throughout the month, the concepts of involution (turning inward) and evolution (expressing outward) will be explored, highlighting the dynamic interplay between inner transformation and outer change.

I’d also like to share with you that the Leadership (Myself, Board, Practitioners, Rev. Deb, and Clara) had a retreat over Jan 23 and Jan 24. We took the opportunity to celebrate some of our wins in 2025, which included: hiring me (a win for me too!), exceeding our Giving Intention goal for 2026 by $1000, growing the community in a time of great change, and being great stewards of our community. We also created a focus for 2026, with our theme being “Open at the Top”, we would focus on three things:
1. Divine Connection- Being Radiant and Light
2. Support/Service- Through Joy and Being Welcoming
3. Action in the World- Through Expansion and Movement

I look forward to an amazing month with you.

Big love,
Rev. Abigail

Children are a delightful part of this Service before spending time in small groups with their teachers. This Service is the spiritual and social gathering point for our community – and we love welcoming newcomers to our home!

Our Sunday Service is inspiring and joyful with an uplifting message. Best of all, we apply spiritual principles to daily life that help you contemplate the issues you may be facing. Join us in person or virtually!

We honor all paths to God/Spirit and can help you experience a personal relationship with It. When It is the focus of our spirituality, then other areas of our lives fall into place: we are happier, we can do more for others, be better stewards of the Earth, and help bring peace and harmony to the world.
