Food Bank Drive

FOOD BANK DRIVE ENTIRE MONTH OF APRIL
“One extra can, to help lend a hand.”
Please join with others in the CSL Community to provide food for our local food bank. The collection container is available in the back of the Sanctuary on Sundays, and donations may be brought to the CSL office Monday through Thursday, 10 am to 2 pm. Another simple way to help those in need is to buy one extra can of food when you go grocery shopping. These cans can then be given to the food bank, to help feed those who may be struggling. This is such a simple and very helpful way to practice “living from the joy of giving.”
Food banks accept dry and canned food donations; basically, any food that is “shelf-stable” or nonperishable. Only donate food that hasn’t reached its “sell-by” date.
Specifically, food banks often need items such as peanut butter, canned soup, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned stew, canned beans, pasta (gluten-free or whole grain), rice (brown rice). Thank you so much for contributing to this much-needed effort.
