Our Board of Trustees is part of the larger “Leadership Team” that includes our prayer practitioners, ministerial and administrative staff. The Board is comprised of members of our spiritual community who bring their special skills and talents in service to the larger circle of our Center. They serve as servant leaders in working with the large group of volunteers who assist us in every facet of our organization.
Trustees are elected for a three-year term; two to three Board members are elected annually by the membership. The Board is committed to comprehensive, timely and open communication with the congregation.
Adjunct Board Members – We encourage those interested in Board service to sit with the Board for a year before being elected so they get familiar with the ways we serve.

Volunteer at CSL Bellingham
The miraculous thing about our Center is that much of what happens here is run by our generous volunteer teams. It is amazing how connected we all become working side-by-side with each other.
Service is one of our guiding principles, and we are always happy to invite newcomers into the network of support and sharing.

Youth Programs: We have a growing program for children, tweens, and teens with a growing group of teachers who share their love of nature, art, music and fun on Sundays during the 10:30AM Service.
Coffee Connections: Sometimes just a simple cup of coffee or tea and conversation can change someone’s outlook! Our Sunday Coffee Connections team is the heart and hands behind our hospitality for the 10:30AM Service and special events.
Community Outreach: Love Laundry / Family Promise / Cake Brigade & Care Cookies – We pitch in wherever needed to assist our community partners in serving our larger community.
Congregational Support: Making meals for people experiencing transitions such as a birth or death, reading to our elderly, hospital visits and more are the special gift of these volunteers.
Marketing/Website/Social Media: We have a growing team of people helping us get the word out about who we are and what we do. Graphic design, website maintenance/building are all part of this team’s mission.
Livestream and Sound Team: This is a growing team of people who “run” livestream and sound for our Sunday services, musical events and special guests.
Special Events: We host a variety of wonderful annual events, and this team works behind the scenes to make sure the events run smoothly and the bases are covered; we all have fun!
Ushers & Greeters: We call this team our “ambassadors” because often they are the first faces you meet as a newcomer.
